Over the past few days, we have completely restructured the platform to ensure you are alerted first. Continuous tracking is now unified into a single product: KT8 Monitor. Manual diagnostic audits now operate on a transparent pay-as-you-go credit model, and two additional diagnostic utilities are now permanently free for everyone.
KT8 Monitor: Comprehensive Monitoring Across Your Entire Domain Estate
KT8 Monitor is engineered for businesses maintaining a handful of key domains and digital agencies overseeing dozens of client websites. You add a domain once, and monitoring starts straight away, with zero tracking scripts to embed, no server agents to maintain and no complex configurations.
Every domain receives all 17 automated checks across all subscription tiers:
- Website Availability & Health: Multi-checkpoint uptime monitoring, real-time response latency, SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle tracking, domain registration renewal reminders and automated weekly full-site crawls via Link Inspector.
- Email Security & Deliverability: SPF, DKIM and DMARC record verification every 6 hours, human-readable DMARC aggregate reports and regular checking against primary spam blocklists.
- Public Status Pages: Independent, unbranded status portals hosted on custom subdomains (such as status.yourdomain.co.uk), featuring automated incident dispatches to customer subscribers.
- Search Engine Visibility: Weekly Search Inspector audits to detect technical indexing barriers, plus daily Google search position tracking for 10 priority keywords via Google Search Console.
When an error occurs, KT8 dispatches a clear, jargon-free notification to your team by email or via Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord or Google Chat, complete with the exact technical fix and records required to put it right. Once resolved, we confirm the recovery as soon as our checks see it.

Annual billing includes two months free. Agency plans include full white-label capabilities: your company branding, a custom client portal and client status pages with zero KT8 attribution. Upgrades and downgrades can be made at any point from your account billing tab.
High-Frequency Checks with Multi-Region Verification
On Business Plus and Agency tiers, website uptime is audited every 60 seconds; on Small Business and Business tiers, it is checked every 5 minutes. In all cases, incident notifications trigger after two consecutive check failures.
To eliminate false alarms caused by transient network routing issues, failures detected by our primary monitoring network are immediately verified by a second geographic node in Germany. An alert is dispatched only when both locations confirm the failure.
Scheduled Maintenance Windows
When deploying platform updates or performing infrastructure maintenance, you can configure one-off or recurring maintenance windows mapped to your local time zone. During active windows, uptime checks and incident notifications are temporarily suppressed, downtime is excluded from your uptime figures, and status pages automatically display a planned maintenance notice.
Flapping Detection and Smart Alert Throttling
To protect your notification channels from alert fatigue when an endpoint is flapping (intermittently dropping and recovering), alerts share a unified daily threshold. If an endpoint experiences three brief outages within an hour, KT8 sends a single alert detailing the instability. After that, we only notify you of outages lasting more than 15 minutes, until the service has stayed stable for at least 30 consecutive minutes.
On-Demand Diagnostics via Pay-As-You-Go Credits
For ad-hoc testing without an ongoing subscription, our diagnostic utilities, including the DNS Checker, Mail Tester, Speed Test, Link Inspector and Search Inspector, now run on an on-demand credit system:
- Flat 1:1 Pricing: One standard technical test consumes exactly one credit.
- Global Speed Testing: A comprehensive 26-country performance test consumes 5 credits.
- Live Keyword Lookups: On-demand ranking checks cost 1 credit per query.
- Included Allowances: Every KT8 Monitor subscription includes a monthly quota of credits (starting at 1,000 credits on Small Business) for manual diagnostics; automated background monitoring does not consume this balance.
- Credit Packages: Credit packs are available as one-off purchases at £5 for 500, £10 for 1,000 and £25 for 3,000 credits, remaining valid for 12 months.

Expanded Free Toolkit: Whois and Traceroute
Two additional technical utilities have joined our permanent free tier alongside the IP Checker and QR Code Generator:
- Whois Lookup: Provides registrar details, creation and expiry dates, transfer locks, nameserver delegation, DNSSEC status and abuse contacts, paired with the raw registry record.
- Traceroute: Maps the network path to any server or host hop by hop, visually highlighting where packet loss or latency spikes occur, with a one-click copy tool for sending routing data to your hosting provider.
- Integrated IP Workflow: The IP Checker now includes a direct "Trace the route" button, so you can go straight from an address lookup to a routing path analysis.
Unified Dashboard: Monitor, Test and Fix
The KT8 dashboard has been overhauled to bring continuous monitoring and diagnostic execution into one place:
