Stop searching for yourself in Google
Typing your own searches into Google every morning is slow, and it lies: Google shows you different results because it knows you. We follow your searches properly and tell you when something changes.
Your real positions
From your own Google Search Console: the average place you were shown for each search, with clicks and views, every day.
Alerts that mean something
An email when a search falls off page one, slips out of the top 3 and stays there, or drops out of sight. Small day-to-day wobbles never trigger one.
Why did it drop?
Beside every fall: what changed on that page in our weekly checks (title, words, a noindex tag, errors) and any Google update that week.
Everything in Positions
The free part comes with every KT8 Tools plan. Live checks are an add-on, for when you need the exact place today.
Daily positions
Your average place in Google for each search you follow, by country and device, with 16 months of history.
Almost on page one
Searches where you sit at 8 to 20 and people really search, with the page that ranks and what to fix on it. A small push can be worth real clicks.
Fewer clicks than you should get
Searches where you rank in the top 5 but few people click. Usually the title or description, and we suggest better wording.
New and lost searches
Each week: the searches Google started showing you for, ready to follow in one tap, and the ones you stopped appearing for.
Why did it drop?
A timeline beside each fall, joining our weekly page checks with Google’s announced updates.
Weekly digest
One email on Monday with what climbed, what fell and what’s almost on page one. Alerts in between only for real falls.
Your exact place today
A real Google search for each phrase, weekly or daily, in the country and on the device you choose, to position 20.
Google Maps
Where you appear in Google Maps for searches like “plumber in Leeds”. The one local businesses care about most.
Who’s above you
The sites ranking above you for each search, and an alert when a new one jumps in.
Is Google answering for you?
Which of your searches now show a Google AI answer, and whether it quotes your site. It explains falls in clicks that aren’t your fault.
Ads on your searches
Who’s paying to appear on your searches, including your own business name.
For every client
Follow searches for every client’s site from one login, with the history ready for your monthly reports.

Questions
Do you search Google yourselves?
No. Daily positions come from your own Google Search Console, through Google’s official connection, read only. Live checks come from a specialist search data company. We send it only the search and the country, never your name or your account details.
Why does my position differ from what I see in Google?
Google shows each person slightly different results, based on where they are and what they’ve searched before. Search Console gives the average place across everyone who saw you; a live check is one clean search from the country you chose. Both are fairer than searching yourself.
Why are Search Console figures a few days behind?
Google takes two or three days to settle its figures. Live checks are the answer when you need today’s place.
Will you email me every time something moves?
No. We email only when a fall has lasted: off page one, out of the top 3 by 3 places or more, or out of the top 20 altogether. Everything else goes in one email on Monday. You can turn alerts off for any search.
How deep do you look?
Live checks look at the first two pages, positions 1 to 20, where almost every click happens. Search Console shows deeper positions for searches you already appear for.
What do you keep?
Your followed searches and their positions for 16 months, like Search Console itself. Disconnect Google any time and we delete everything we copied from it.
