- The installer lets go.Its permission is kept in an encrypted cookie in your own browser, expires after 30 minutes and is handed back as soon as setup finishes.
- Nothing phones home.Once a day your copy checks kt8.com for updates. That check carries no personal data and nothing about your mail.

KT8 Mail is built independently by KT8. It began as Cloudflare’s open-source Agentic Inbox—a minimal foundation for email on Cloudflare. Since then, we have expanded it into a full suite with calendar invitations, shared inboxes, multi-domain support, custom rules, smart spam filtering, masked aliases, passkey sign-in, private file storage, nightly backups, a full admin dashboard, and a developer API.
